The red pigmentation is due to a substantial thermal excursion between day and night.
Florescence occurs in March-April and the fruits can be harvested from November up until March.

A mix of vitamins and minerals, consisting of Vitamin C, A, B, K and PP, as well as Folic Acid, Calcium and Beta-carotene makes this citrus fruit unique. In addition, the Tarocco orange has a vitamin C content of up to 40%, which is higher than in other citrus fruits.
Suggested use
Mainly served fresh; can also be squeezed or blended in delicious drinks or cut in half to decorate a cake.
